Anglo-American hybrids have a longstanding history, exemplified a decade prior to Carroll Shelby's installation of a Ford V8 in an AC Ace by Brian Lister's innovation of fitting an aerodynamic aluminum body onto a Corvette chassis, resulting in the creation of the Lister Corvette.

Lister, renowned for its racing cars and closely associated with Jaguar, particularly with the Lister Knobbly, initially powered by the D-type engine, served as the inspiration for the vehicle currently available for sale. Subsequently, as the car began achieving impressive race results with the Chevrolet small block engine, it became a source of inspiration for numerous enthusiasts, including the American individual who constructed this classic.

Details regarding the origins of this particular car, including its builder and construction date, are scant. However, it was crafted in the USA and subsequently registered there as a 1957 Chevrolet Lister. Constructed on a steel space frame with an aluminum hood and polyester body, it features a small block Chevy engine enhanced with a GM performance kit, a 4-speed gearbox, adjustable suspension, ventilated disc brakes both at the front and rear, an ATL Fuel cell race tank, side pipes, among other specifications.

Designed with a racing-oriented interior, it boasts bucket seats seamlessly integrated into the bodywork and linked with built-in roll cages on both the passenger and driver sides, providing a sense of solidity and security while driving. Upholstery in excellent condition envelops not only the seats but also the transmission tunnel.

Arriving in Belgium in 2016, the car underwent technical inspections and was registered as a 1957 Chevrolet Lister at that time. It has since been regularly utilized and underwent an engine overhaul at one point. Presently, it remains in admirable condition, albeit exhibiting minor signs of wear and tear, including scratches underneath and on the body.

The vehicle is ready for enjoyment and requires no immediate attention. Given the variance in legislation concerning these cars across different countries, including Belgium, it is sold strictly as-is and as seen, without any guarantee of street usability.
