The Porsche 911 (964) was produced from 1989. This is the third generation of 911, also considered the revival Porsche 911. It retains the style of the old 911s, but it is also the first to offer four-wheel drive. The rear-wheel-drive version is now called "Carerra 2" (1989), the all-wheel-drive "Carrera 4" (1988). There was previously an all-wheel drive, the 959, but it was built in very limited series.
In 1992, the Carrera underwent a few changes, mostly aesthetic: 17-inch tires instead of 16, new more aerodynamic mirrors, etc. The luggage compartment decreases in volume due to a larger tank (92 liters instead of 77)
Also in 1993, the Speedster also made its appearance. It is a convertible based on the Carrera 2, with a domed hood cover, the windscreen that is lower in height, bucket seats, etc. As for the "Turbo Look", commonly sold on the previous 3.2-litre model, it is now only delivered to order. Only 14 copies were delivered.
