Jaguar 420

• Great looking powerful saloon, an icon for its time. The model ticks all the boxes,  the better 4.2 engine, wood, leather, wire wheels etc, and this particular car is arguably the best color combination gunmetal grey over red leather!
• The car is Euro spec LHD (French delivered by Delacroix) left hand drive with a classic looking digital radio. Power brakes and steering, stainless exhaust and chrome wheels are a nice add on!
• Priced to sell it is in need of some tender love and care at some spots on the body (details upon request) and it could benefit from some maintenance (oil leak).  No rust issues which is quite rare.

The Jaguar 420 (pronounced "four-twenty") and its Daimler Sovereign equivalent were introduced at the October 1966 London Motor Show and produced for two years as the ultimate expression of a series of "compact sporting saloons" offered by Jaguar throughout that decade, all of which shared the same wheelbase. Developed from the Jaguar S-Type, the 420 cost around £200 more than that model and effectively ended buyer interest in it, although the S-Type continued to be sold alongside the 420/Sovereign until both were supplanted by the Jaguar XJ6 late in 1968.
