The Alfa Romeo Giulia was produced from 1962 to 1977s, an exceptional longevity. The manufacturing plant was in Arese and had just been inaugurated. Alfa Romeo was the first manufacturer to put powerful engines in a current production vehicle.
As for the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT (also called Giulia Sprint, terminology used by Alfa when it came to coupés), its production began a year later. The bodywork was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, a 22-year-old Bertone employee! The sedan's platform was shortened by 16 cm, from 251 to 235 cm.
The various versions of the Giulia GT all featured the well-known Alfa Romeo Twin-Cam engine, the displacement of which ranged from 1290 to 1985 cc from 1290 to 1985 cc.
