In 1942, Ford halted passenger car production so that assembly line could focus on the war effort. Ford introduced a brand new style for the first Ford available since 1942 and was an immediate success. The slogan for 1946 was "there is a Ford in your future". Another one was "Things of quality have no fear of time". The very first 1946 Ford was delivered to President Harry Truman.
